My Grandfather Died

When I was young before my brothers were born I always played with my grandfather, when my parents and I went to my grandparent’s summer house. I thought it was really fun because he was the only one at that time that really played with me. He enjoyed it a lot. Football, games and running was things we did together. My grandfather worked as a vet, he helped animals that were sick or had problems with anything. He thought about many things that had to do with medical and illnesses that were effected at that time.

The day had come; he was working at his job when his head started to hurt so much. It was not a normal headache; he felt that something was wrong. My grandmother was there so he told her to call an ambulance and she did. It took a while for it to arrive. Finally it was there, but it took a while to get to the hospital. He was unconscious and nobody could talk to him, it was like he was sleeping very deeply. When he arrived to the hospital, they x-rayed his head to see how much blood he had. The whole head was filled with blood, so there was no way of saving him anymore. He was in the hospital for a long time, but he was still unconscious until Sunday when he died.

The last minutes of life had disappeared for him and he wasn’t alive, it was a painful feeling that we felt, especially for my mum, dad, his wife, sister and other relatives. It was very boring and hard and you couldn’t really work or concentrate. The only thing that was in our minds was that time when we had so much fun together and everybody was happy, and lived happily ever after. Years have gone now, and it is not so sad anymore because we got through the hard times. The most sad thing was that my brothers Olle and Anton never got to see him because they weren´t born yet. I was only 3 years old when he died. One of the best days in my life, was when I spent my time with my grandfather before he died.

Interview with my grandmother

My name is M. Yesterday I interviewed my grand mother. The interview was about when she was young and went through adolescences. Sweden, Varmland was the place where she was born. She was born 1930 and raised during the second world war. The farm was her home and also her mum and dads job, to take care of the farm. Life was not very easy at that time, she had to work on the farm all the time and her dad and mum put a lot of pressure on her.

The Night Walk

After it had stopped raining and the lighting was gone. It was time for the one hour night walk. I was very excited. But I was a little bit afraid about seeing snakes out in the black rainy forest. The white moon shined out over the forest as we walked through. A long way to go, but I enjoyed a lot of things I saw. Water dripping and flowing away in the small stream. A fresh and very small prawn jumped up and swam downstream. Before it floated away in the dark the guide grabbed it and told us to eat it.”No chance that I am eating that prawn” did I say quietly in my head, until Tianhi said “I am going to eat it.”, and she really did. Standing there and watching her eat that made me feel sick. At least she did. Our walk continued on sliding in the mud, suddenly I slid toward the person that was in front of me. My shoes just couldn´t hold me up anymore. They kept sliding away from me until someone caught me. Next stop was when we were looking for leeches on our legs or any other part of the body. As normal I had no leeches on my body. Both guides were calling us because they had found something interesting. They were very shiny and a green light was coming from the bugs. They were about five-six centimetres tall. We continued to walk until we came to a street that had recognizable signs that we were almost at our camping area. A few meters more and there was our camping area. We thanked the guides and said that it had been a very nice and special walk for us.

When I get older...

When I grow up to be an adult, and turn forty years old I would like to have a lucky family and life. A happy life doesn´t mean to just do things you want to do, but you have to do boring things too. Jobs, interests and money are also a part of life when you are growing up. You can find many jobs but it is not easy to choose the right one. As a person, I would like to work where you make candies and sweets. Wishes can change fast, but I probably will not want to do that job when I get older. Who knows? The job I want to do can´t be so easy because I have to have enough money so I can have a family and a marriage later on. Life is not easy, but you never know what is going to happen in the future.
